TechM & human-I-T

Connecting Families during COVID-19

Please Give Today:

Who is human-I-T?

To pursue our dual missions of closing the digital divide and reducing the environmental impact of electronic waste, human-I-T connects low-income households to high-speed internet, computers, and digital literacy training through re-purposed electronic devices from businesses, universities, municipalities, and more."

TechM & human-I-T

Microsoft's research team estimates that over 160 million Americans do not have access to high-speed internet at home. With COVID-19 restrictions requiring students to learn remotely, the need to connect these households to the internet, computers, and digital literacy training is more important than it has ever been.

TechM and human-I-T are teaming up to connect low-income households in Detroit and beyond to these crucial resources to enable them to not only learn and work remotely, but access information, telemedicine, online food ordering, financial management tools, resume building and career resources, and more.
