What e-waste removal services do you offer?
We offer secure, nationwide e-waste removal services for individuals and organizations. Whether you’re donating a single laptop or coordinating a bulk pickup, our team handles everything—from packaging and transport to certified data destruction. We provide free shipping boxes for small donations and full-service palletized pickup for larger volumes. Every donation helps divert e-waste from landfills and supports digital inclusion efforts across the U.S.
What happens to my personal data?
We like to say we accept everything with a plug except appliances. Please see our Accepted Items list for more info.
Your data security is our top priority. Every device with storage is sanitized using NIST 800-88 compliant software, meeting HIPAA and DoD standards. If data cannot be erased, we physically destroy the drive. You’ll receive a Certificate of Data Destruction and a full chain-of-custody report for peace of mind.

We accept nearly everything with a plug—except appliances. This includes laptops, desktops, tablets, smartphones, monitors, printers, servers, and networking equipment. Whether your device is working or broken, we’ll put it to good use or recycle it responsibly. Find the full list of items we accept here.
How do I know my device actually helped someone?
We track every donation through our secure portal. You’ll receive updates showing how your device was refurbished and distributed, along with impact stories from the families and individuals it helped. For larger donations, we provide detailed environmental and social impact reports. You can also see your donation’s impact here!

How do I know my money is being used effectively?
Human-I-T is rated on trusted platforms like GuideStar and Charity Navigator, where you can see how we allocate resources. The majority of donations go directly to programs that provide devices, internet access, and digital skills training for underserved communities. We’re proud to maintain transparency and accountability in everything we do.
How will my donations be used?
Every financial gift supports our mission to create equitable access to opportunity. Your donation helps fund refurbished devices, affordable internet, digital literacy training, and tech support for families and individuals who’ve been left on the wrong side of the digital divide. What tax documentation will I receive?
You’ll receive a donation receipt with the amount, date, and our EIN (46-0773284). This documentation is suitable for tax filing and confirms your contribution to a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

How do the tax benefits work?
Donating appreciated crypto directly to Human-I-T can help you avoid capital gains tax and qualify for a charitable deduction. The IRS treats crypto as property, so your donation may be tax-deductible at its fair market value if held for over a year. Donations over $5,000 may require a qualified appraisal

Yes. All crypto donations are processed through secure, blockchain-verified platforms. You’ll receive a receipt for your records, and your transaction is logged transparently to ensure your gift reaches its intended impact.
