We recently worked with the City of Commerce Food Distribution Program, where they weekly give away food to low-income families. As this was their yearly Christmas event, they were giving away toys and gifts but also invited us to come and participate. We were excited to be invited, so we packed up a bunch of computers to give away and flyers to sign people up for free digital literacy courses!

By the end of the day, we gave away 118 computers to seniors and families so that they can have opportunities to interact with their communities but also for continued self-improvement.

Continued learning and self-improvement is a value that we constantly emphasize here at human-I-T. Not only do we strive to make our operations and systems consistently better, but we also push our teammates always to look inward and make sure they are growing. Because we believe it’s important for people to have something to seek out, aspire to, and work towards.

Unfortunately, a lot of people do not have that chance. Sometimes they are trapped by financial circumstances or are simply unaware of opportunities available to them. That is one of the many reasons why we do what we do. So that 118 people now have opportunities to pursue their desires to better themselves.
